Bristol Bears to invade Flyers' Twitter account

Bristol Bears Rugby Club will be taking over the official Bristol Flyers Twitter account during Saturday’s BBL Championship clash against the Glasgow Rocks.

Tom Tainton, the head of communications for the club, has been hard at work with Bristol Flyers staff to get his basketball knowledge up to tip-top shape ahead of tomorrow night's clash with their Scottish counterparts (Saturday, October 6th 7.30pm).

As part of the takeover, Tainton will be providing fans with LIVE updates during Saturday’s game, whilst channeling the Bears' recently-found sassy Twitter personality since the club’s rebrand.

"As somebody who has been described as 'stealing a living' when it comes to rugby, now is the appropriate time to extend my limited knowledge of sport into the realm of basketball,” Tainton said.

"I've seen Space Jam twice and follow LeBron James on Instagram, so I couldn't be more prepared for the occasion.

"Having experienced the atmosphere on Flyers' matchdays at SGS Stadium, I'm looking forward to seeing the place rocking on Saturday.

"UP THE BEA... I mean, C'mon Bri... No. Sorry. Let's go Flyers."

Bristol Bears' Skills Coach Bruce Reihana will be taking on the 'Free Super Tips 30 second challenge' at half-time.
Not only will the Premiership Rugby club be taking over the Flyers’ Twitter account, but Bears players Reiss Cullen, Jake Heenan, Tiff Eden and Skills Coach Bruce Reihana will be in attendance, with Bruce taking on the 'Free Super Tips 30 second challenge' during half-time.

Be sure to follow @BristolFlyers on Twitter for LIVE updates during Saturday's 7.30pm tip-off against Glasgow Rocks and join in the chat using #BearsTakeover
