With Bristol Flyers currently sitting in a three-way tie in seventh with Plymouth and Surrey, we examine all the play-off permutations ahead of the final weekend of the regular BBL 2016/17 season.
The SGS WISE Arena will host the Flyers’ first game of the weekend on Saturday night as they look for victory over the Manchester Giants, who currently sit at the foot of the table.
Flyers' rivals for the final play-off spots, Plymouth Raiders and Surrey Scorchers, meanwhile will face-off at the Plymouth Pavilions, with the winner of this tie securing themselves a play-off berth.
The following day, the Flyers will make their way to Surrey for their second tie of the weekend, a game which could see them make the play-offs for the second time in their BBL history.
Manchester Giants have the chance to play a key role in the play-off race despite propping up the table, as they face Plymouth Raiders at the same time as the Scorchers Flyers game.
As it stands, the winner of Plymouth and Surrey will advance to the play-offs. If the Flyers and the Raiders are both victorious on Saturday night then Kapoulas’ men will need to beat Surrey the following day to decide the last spot.
Two wins for the Flyers will see them in the post-season. If Flyers lose one game they would require Plymouth or Surrey to go winless this weekend in order to make the play-offs.
Should each team win a game apiece this weekend, Flyers will miss out to Surrey and Plymouth on head-to-head records.
