Alif Bland Named In BBL Team Of The Week

Alif Bland has been rewarded for his stunning performance against Manchester Giants this weekend by being named in the BBL Team of the Week.

Bland scored an incredible double-double of 20 points and 17 rebounds as the Flyers ended a run of four straight defeats to clinch a 72-67 victory over the Giants.

The 6'9" forward signed for Flyers in the summer from German Pro A league side Cuxhaven Baskats where he averaged eight points and five rebounds per game whilst shooting a career high 58% from the field.

The 24-year old bettered this percentage on Friday night as he shot 60%, with four blocks, two steals and two assists to add to his double-double, seeing him rightly selected in the Team of the Week.

Flyers return to action this Friday in the first leg of their BBL Cup semi-final against Glasgow Rocks at the SGS WISE Arena - click here to buy tickets.
