Bristol Benchwarmer's

Perhaps you always wanted to play basketball but couldn’t work out the rules or maybe you just need an excuse for something to do on a Monday or Tuesday Evening?

Or you used to shoot hoops at school but fell out of practice and since then you’ve acquired a beer belly and a mortgage?

If any of this sounds familiar it’s time to come and train with Bristol’s least serious sporting outfit: Bristol Benchwarmer's Basketball Club.

From the couch... to the court we aim to get you back into playing Basketball in Bristol as soon as possible! We offer two different training days along with a mixed session on Sunday, all with at least one coach to keep your skills up to scratch in a fun, inclusive environment.

Formerly Lazyboys Basketball Club - the club was formed in 2012 and has been very successful. We have attracted guys from all ages and abilities to improve their basketball skills in a fun, inclusive environment.

The sessions are structured, dynamic and challenging, they are designed to help all members reach their health and fitness goals. Our coaches are also qualified under Basketball England coaching awards.

We encourage older players who are returning to the sport but can't commit to playing in a league team, or those who want a fresh challenge.

If you are interested in coming along to a session please get in touch by contacting claire.buckingham@bristol-sport.co.uk first and we'll give you all the details you need.
